“Cumbernauld Community Park on the north side of
the A80 is a project which is on its way.”
The “Friends of Cumbernauld Community Park”, set up by their
Constitution
in June 2005 following initial consultations and promotion by
Craigmarloch
Community Council, is working with North Lanarkshire Council to develop
and
deliver a Community Park for the 21st century. WIAT funding for woods
and
access has already been secured. Formal promotion in the new Local Plan
and
progressive development are the next steps. Like any other major dynamic
project it will alter with time and like a garden a Park is always
changing,
improving and growing. There will always be scope for updating and
improvement.
